What is VOIP? VOIP is the acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol. At its simplest level VOIP communication take your voice and convert it into a digital signal and send it over the internet. Your call is then converted back to an analog signal and the person on the other hears a regular voice call. Initially this was only possible using computers, however now that technology has advanced you are able to use the same phone that you are currently using. At the leading edge of this field are specialized IP only phones they take advantage of the high end advanced features that VOIP calling offers, and are completely portable.
